Hey #KaptureCrew I'm backkkkk! Oh how I've missed you guys but life got the best of me! But honestly, I felt that everything I went through was for a reason. I've learned so much from every situation I overcame in 2018 and it taught me to be stronger, wiser, driven, and ultimately live a happier life. Last year, was a b**** but it's 2019 and I'm coming for everything that's mine. My promise to you all this year is not to let life problems stop my creativity, consistency, and ambition. Now lets get into this look!

THRIFTING TIPS AND TRICKS

I thrifted this vintage Dior coat a while back for $12 (no your eyes are NOT deceiving you, you read right) and I absolutely adore it! I paired it with a velvet Kate Spade crossbody handbag and snake print booties from Missguided. I kept the ensemble under the jacket very simple with a knee length black fitted skirt and cropped cut-out turtleneck, so the focus would remain on the coat and shoes.

When I thrift theres a couple of tips and tricks that I abide by:

1. Location, Location, LOCATION - Consider the area where you're thrifting. Go to areas that are looked at as wealthy or high end in your state. This is were you'll find designer/luxury items and some of the best vintage pieces.

2. Ladies, don't be afraid of the men's section - You'll find most of those over sized items like graphic tees, button downs, blazers you can turn into dresses, etc...

3. Patience is key - If you plan on thrifting please know that being patient is the key to success. You may not find anything in the first 10 mins maybe not even the first 15, but you have to take your time and look carefully!

4. Look through EVERYTHING - Most stores are very organized making items easy to see and find. Thrift stores are the complete opposite. Which means you have to look through EVERYTHING in order to find the dope pieces!

5. Most importantly, if you don't love it, leave it.
