iFLY made me addicted to indoor skydiving and now I can't wait to jump out of a PLANE!

I've always wanted to go skydiving but I knew there could potentially be a chance that I would get there and chicken out. So when my boyfriend told me that as part of my birthday gift we would be going indoor skydiving I was more than elated. This experience is one for the books and I'm so happy that we did indoor instead going straight to jumping out the plane because there where some injuries that affected my flight and I almost couldn't fly. But lets get into everything iFLY before we get into my almost tragedy (lol).

Preparing For Take-Off

There are a few things you need to do before you take flight, like booking one! When you book you have a few options to choose from such as the amount of people you'll be bringing with you, how many flights you would like, and your day/time you plan on flying high. The amount of flights you want determines the price and prices range from a minimum of $69.95 for 2 flights to a maximum of $131.95 for 5 flights. In addition to your flights your purchase includes flight training, gear rental, one-on-one flight instructions, and a personalized flight certificate.

My Experience

It was a awesome experience that taught me a lot about skydiving that I didn't know. For instance, if you ever dislocated your shoulder in recent years then they will recommend that you don't fly. But, if you're like me and pretty much hard headed then go ahead and fly. Just know that if injured during flight iFly isn't responsible.

During your first flight you're getting adjusted to being in the tunnel and getting the right form for your body.

Your second flight is supposed to be when they take you high. Unfortunately for me my second flight is when my shoulder popped out and back into place. Because of this I decided to decline to go higher because I was afraid that if it was to pop out again and we were high, they wouldn't see me signal to leave.

Once I exited the tunnel I told my instructor what happened and he suggested that I skip my last flight. But of course I didn't listen because my third flight was my virtual reality experience and I WASN'T GOING TO MISS IT. I'm so glad I choose to just go for it and deal with the consequences later because this was insane! I choose to virtually jump out of an airplane over Dubai. It gives you a real rush because now your visually seeing what its like to skydive and feeling it all at the same time! Oh yeah, my shoulder gave me no problems this flight!

Important Tips

- Stay relaxed at all times

- Remember to breathe

- If you have dislocated a shoulder but you really want to skydive or indoor skydive my instructor suggested to me to buy a work-out band and everyday work on strengthening those muscle so you'll be able to handle the pressure!

*SN: I don't recommend doing what I did and flying regardless of what my instructor suggested for me (because they truly know what's best they're professionals). I only did it because I've had many experiences where my shoulder has popped out/back in place and I had to fight thru the pain (it doesn't hurt me as much as others).

If you decide to visit iFly I would love to hear about your experience as well as see your pictures and videos. Make sure you tag me @KapturedByKClo!
